Choose the rooms and surfaces that need attention.
An interior painting project starts with deciding what you want to refresh. That might mean bedroom walls, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, or a hallway. Our room-based estimator also includes offices, laundry rooms, stairwells and open-concept living areas, so you can describe the spaces without measuring every wall.
Within those rooms, choose walls, ceilings, closets, trim, or a combination. Naming the surfaces helps us understand the work you have in mind. If only part of a room needs painting, or a space does not fit a standard category, include that detail in your request so we can review it with you.
Preparation is part of the conversation.
A few nail holes and light scuffs call for a different amount of preparation than cracked or damaged drywall. We can repair nail holes, dents, cracks and damaged drywall sections, and prepare unfinished drywall for painting. Photos of the whole room and closer views of damaged areas help us understand what needs attention.
The estimator asks about wall condition and whether walls and ceilings are textured. Texture answers help us plan paint quantities. Choose the closest condition and leave a note if you are unsure; the final scope and price are confirmed after review. Read more about drywall repairs and painting preparation before choosing your answers.
Know what to expect before the work begins.
NLB Paint & Finish supplies the paint, materials and equipment for your project. We prefer furniture and personal belongings to be moved out of the work area beforehand. If you need help moving larger furniture, tell us during review; assistance is available for an additional fee. We take precautions to protect floors and furnishings that remain.
Use the free interior painting estimator for a preliminary price, then send your details and optional photos for review. The online result is a planning figure, and room sizes, selected surfaces and preparation needs are reviewed before a final quote. You can also request a project review directly if your project needs an explanation.
